Leprotti class welcomes Key Stage 1 children who do not understand or speak Italian language, or only know a few words. Italian is taught as a foreign language. Class is in Italian with some English to allow children to understand instructions. In this course, children will learn the basics of Italian conversation, working on topics related to familiar contexts such as family, friends, school, home, food, etc. Pupils will also learn the basics of the syllabic system to allow them to read and pronounce correctly the words and sentences. Children will be encouraged at making short sentences using verbs “essere” and “avere”.
